Megan completed her undergraduate work at St. John Fisher College in 2009 where she received her Bachelor of Science degree for her dual majors of Psychology and English. She completed her graduate work at SUNY Oswego and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Science degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling Services and Mental Health Counseling. In addition to her work at Creekside Counseling Services, Megan is also currently working in the New Student Transition area of Student Affairs at SUNY Oswego. While she works with clients of all ages, Megan is particularly passionate about working with the student population from elementary school through college. As a counselor, her theoretical orientation is largely Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused, however she utilizes an eclectic approach in her counseling and is able to use a number of theories and techniques based on the needs of the client, including Expressive Art Therapies and Mindfulness. Megan counsels and works to empower individuals and couples through such issues as grief and loss, anxiety, depression, adjustment/transitional concerns, PTSD and relationship concerns. Megan also works as an Office Manager at Creekside Counseling Services.
